From 2022, manufacturers of modern vehicles can restrict access to the data needed to programme replacement keys to SERMI-authorised operators only. The Autowatch Ghost 2 is a covert CAN bus immobiliser that requires a unique PIN sequence — entered via the car's own existing controls — before the engine will start.
